Location: Corner of Roberts Place and N. Conkling Street
Roberts Place Garden is a small pocket park at a gateway intersection into the Baltimore Highlands neighborhood. The garden was rundown and abandoned until a few neighbors approached the Southeast CDC about making improvements, including replacing the decrepit Welcome to Baltimore Highlands sign that sat in the lot.
The Southeast CDC raised $8,000 from the Baltimore Community Foundation, which funded new garden beds, rain barrels, the new sign and a mural depicting the legendary fox of Baltimore Highlands. Members of the Highlandtown Community Association manage the ongoing upkeep of the garden.
